7 Secrets to Living a Beautiful Life

Life isn’t always as rosy as we want it to be, but no one ever said it has to be all struggles, pain, and suffering. You only get to live once here on earth, and it’s up to you to make your time worth the while. The concept of a beautiful life means different things to different people. Let’s talk about how living a beautiful life really changes everything.

For some, living the perfect life means having an endless supply of money to do whatever you want and live on the fab lane till you die. For many, a beautiful life is about having a family that loves you and being able to keep them happy, content, and safe. To others, a beautiful life is a peaceful one. You may not have so much but you’re content and totally at peace with yourself.

Secrets to living a beautiful life

In reality, everyone goes through life with different perspectives and mentalities, but we can all converge at a point where something makes sense to everyone. A beautiful life is one where you are genuinely happy within yourself and it radiates to those around you.

You may not have a truckload of money to live a glamorous life, but you’re happy and satisfied in your space, and if you eventually get to the fab lane, the happiness doesn’t dull. You may not have your dream family yet, but you wake up every day thankful for your life and the things you do have, steadily working towards those goals that make your heart beat faster.

Essentially, a beautiful life is one where you are at peace with your mind, body, and soul, and here are 7 helpful secrets to achieving this state of existence.

Find out who you are and your purpose here on earth

There are times when you may feel lost, sad, and stuck in a phase that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. You can’t seem to figure out what you really want for yourself or why you’re in so much doubt about who you are.

Well, as long as you’re alive and existing here on earth, there MUST BE a purpose for you. There has to be something cut out for you where you’ll thrive and flourish despite the circumstances or outcomes. Understanding your true self is the key to finding this purpose. You can start by asking the right questions. Make a list of the things that called to your soul as a child. What were you interested in as a teen? What did you aspire to as a young adult? If you kept a journal or a diary, these items or memory would be very helpful in undertaking this journey.

This is one phase of life where the phrase “follow your heart” is more important than ever. It’s time to let the reality you’ve always known to be true guide you to your true self. It will be worth it in the end.

Find your true passion

A major key to living a beautiful life. You can’t live a beautiful life if the thought of waking up every day and going to your workplace makes you sick. A 2018 report from the Conference Board states that 53% of Americans are unhappy at their job. It’s awful to be stuck earning a living in a place that does not bring you any satisfaction, and we don’t always have the luxury of quitting out of the blue and going for better options.

While you may not be able to make a drastic change immediately, you could start by making conscious efforts to change the situation. Start looking into other things you could do to earn a sufficient living and be genuinely happy. It could be a business, a white-collar job, following your dreams and talents, but as long as it makes you happy and excited to face each new day, it’s worth the change.

Make out time for yourself alone

If you’re not actively dealing with feelings of isolation and abandonment, spending quality time alone does not translate to loneliness. It’s healthy living and a beautiful practice to occasionally spend time enlivening and enjoying yourself, by yourself. You don’t always have to take vacations with someone or a group of people. Plan a spa day alone, enjoy a bubble bath while sipping wine and thinking about all your wins, take a vacation to a nice location by yourself and live the life, head into the movie theatre regularly and laugh or cry by yourself. Whatever you choose to do on your budget, be sure to enjoy it and make personal memories you will always cherish.

Check your friendships and relationships

The people in our lives contribute massively to our regular state of mind. It’s poor spiritual hygiene to let people with all varieties of personalities and characters into your life. Stop giving everyone access to you. It’s time to weed out the sources of negative energy in your life. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve known a person. If all they can bring to the table is malicious friendship or an abusive relationship filled with backstabbing, pain, and manipulation, it’s time to let them go and move on to better people.

An attitude of gratitude

Gratitude gives life a brilliant color you could never get tired of. No matter how bleak your reality may seem at any point, there’s always something to be thankful for. The fact that you’re alive with an opportunity to rewrite your story is a huge blessing. Always wake up with a heart of appreciation for the people in your life and the successes you’ve counted. You may occasionally experience loss, grief, and disappointment, but a grateful heart will always bounce back with more contentment.

Occasionally spoil yourself

Yes, you’re investing for the future and saving for the rainy day, but remember you’re alive and there’s someone somewhere, the same age as you, who didn’t get to see this day. There’s really nothing wrong with occasionally indulging in guilty pleasures and treating yourself. It becomes a problem when you spend above your reasonable limit, but as long as you stay within the confines of your earnings, who says you can’t take that trip or indulge in that awesome pair of shoes you’ve been dreaming of? Spoil yourself.

Don’t let the small things get to you

It’s time to evolve. That’s the last secret for living a beautiful life.

For your life to be truly beautiful, you must uplift yourself and transform your mindset to a state where little problems do not leave you flustered and bothered. You must learn to remain optimistic and hopeful even when it seems like you have every right to get upset. You can redefine your mental inclinations and always choose optimism over nagging or worrying.

You can do this. Remember you are completely in charge of your life and you have the power to make it as beautiful as you desire.
