A TikToker once highlighted an intriguing correlation: several infamous serial killers share the same four astrological signs. The fascination with these killers and their heinous actions captivates our society. Some individuals delve deeply into these criminals’ lives, unveiling more revelations than initially imagined.
Lauren Skirvin, an “armchair astrologist” (@whydontyoub***haboutit), compiled a roster of notorious murderers and their zodiac signs. This list includes well-known figures like Jeffrey Dahmer, recently featured in a chilling Netflix series, Ted Bundy, and Ed Gein.
It may sound like a quack approach, but stats don’t lie
Skirvin questioned astrology skeptics, pointing out the presence of only four specific signs on the extensive list. She found it intriguing that each of these signs represented a distinct element: Sagittarius (fire), Gemini (air), Pisces (water), and Virgo (earth).
Virgo, appearing most frequently, boasts 10 serial killers on the list. Skirvin humorously noted that Virgos likely maintain impeccable crime scenes due to their perfectionism. Gemini follows closely, with personalities like Jeffrey Dahmer and David ‘Son of Sam’ Berkowitz among its representatives.
Swimming in at second, we have Pisces
Pisces, often harboring unresolved emotions that ultimately explode, includes figures like John Wayne Gacy and Richard ‘The Night Stalker’ Ramirez among its eight members. “Pisces is surprising to nobody either because they let s**t build up and then they explode,” the TikToker said.
Skirvin found Sagittarius an unexpected addition, with only four instances on the list. She speculated that Sagittarius’ chaotic and impulsive traits, coupled with potential mental health issues, might contribute to criminal behavior. “Sagittarius is most surprising, but they’re only listed four times here. Sagittarius is chaotic and impulsive. I don’t know, you mix that with mental health issues, and I could see it happening.”

One that we expected to see more of actually didn’t make the list
In her video, Skirvin also pointed out the absence of Scorpio. Though she mentioned the Zodiac killer, potentially a Scorpio, being an exception. She emphasized the intensity of Scorpio reactions. “However, a name that is missing from this list is the Zodiac killer, who a team of codebreakers has decided was Gary Francis Poste, who’s a Scorpio. So we don’t know if that’s true or not, but if it’s true – if he is a Scorpio – he would be the one Scorpio out of the list.”
Contrasting this perspective, podcaster Meg Miller (@gruesomepodcast) asserted that most serial killers are Capricorns. She linked notorious figures like Ian Brady, Joel Rifkin, and Harold Shipman to this sign, highlighting their responsible and disciplined attributes. Notably, both Skirvin and Miller decidedly overlooked several infamous killers. H. H. Holmes, the Chicago chemist behind a horrifying hotel transformation, was a Taurus. Similarly, Pedro ‘Monster of the Andes’ López was a Libra.
