This Is What It Truly Means When You Can’t Stop Thinking About Someone

It’s a very weird situation and it really makes you wonder about how your brain works. You can’t pinpoint a specific reason as to why your mind seems to naturally gravitate towards this particular individual. Are you in love with them? Have you taken a special interest in them because you are infatuated by them? Or are these just random thoughts that you’re eventually going to have to get over.

Do you ever find yourself having moments where you can’t stop thinking about one specific person?Well, the truth isn’t always so simple. There are hundreds of different reasons as to why you could be thinking about a special person in particular. And here are some of the more common ones:

1. You could be growing attracted to them.

Attraction comes with many different levels, shapes, and forms. And the factors that go into whether we become attracted to someone can vary as well. We could be attracted to them on physical, emotional, spiritual, or intellectual levels – or on some special cases, a combination of some or all of these levels. And the inability to categorize the level of attraction that we have for a person is often a culprit of what keeps us thinking about them.

When you find yourself thinking about one specific person consistently, then there is no doubt in anyone’s mind that you are attracted to them. But the only way for you to really get some closure on the matter is when you figure out what it is about them that you’re attracted to.

Do you like them because they are good looking? Are you attracted to them because of how smart and charismatic they are? Do you adore just how in touch they are with their feelings?

Whatever the case, you need to find the answer to your own questions if you really want to make sense of everything. And once you do figure out why you’re attracted to a person, you can then start acting on your feelings. And you won’t have to be wracking your brain anymore trying to figure out just why you can’t get this person out of your head. The answers will be there for you and you can choose whatever you want to do with them.

2. This person can seem like such a real puzzle to you.

Another alternative theory as to why you can’t seem to stop thinking about someone is because they are an absolute mystery to you. In this case, you’re not necessarily attracted to the person per se; but you are attracted to the idea of trying to figure them out. There are just some people who are inherently stoic and mysterious. And if you’re actually curious enough, it’s going to drive you crazy trying to think about what makes up this particular human being.

Social interaction is a fundamental aspect of human existence after all. And you can only ever really feel comfortable around a person you feel like you have them somewhat figured out. If you can’t really trust them, then you might not ever feel at ease whenever you’re interacting with one another. And that’s why it’s important for you to try to take a peek into their soul.

3. They have a broken soul that you’re trying to fix.

Speaking of wanting to take a peek into someone’s soul; there’s something just inherently flattering in the narrative of being able to save someone from their own selves. A lot of us will want to play the hero in our own narratives. We seek out the people who are in need and we try to act as their savior; their guarding light. We try to really pick them apart and see what parts of them require saving. And when we do find these flaws, we obsess over them until they are resolved.

This can be either a good or a bad thing. It works for some people and it doesn’t for others. That’s why you have to be very careful in your pursuits of playing the savior. You never know when other people just don’t want your help. And you can also get lost in trying to fix these broken parts of their personality.

4. There’s a chip on your shoulder because of this person.

All of us are going to be egotistical to some extent. And that’s okay. We are only human after all. And that’s why it makes perfect sense for you to be obsessing over a particular person who is a threat to your ego. A lot of us will take this more seriously than others depending on the types of personalities that we have. When a person somehow damages or threatens our ego, we feel something deep inside is that just wants to compensate for that damage. It’s part of life. It’s part of living. We constantly want to prove our worth to ourselves and to our detractors. And when someone damages our ego, they often implant themselves in our minds until we somehow repair or sense of self-fulfillment.
