Eclipse Season Starts This Week With A Full Strawberry Moon Lunar Eclipse

A spectacular Strawberry full moon will light up the sky on Friday 5th June 2020 — and you certainly don’t want to miss it.

Most of the full moon names we currently use are from Native tribes. The name “Strawberry Moon” was universal to every Algonquin tribe. However, in Europe they called it the Rose Moon. Also because the relatively short season for harvesting strawberries comes each year during the month of June . . . so the full Moon that occurs during this month is christened for the strawberry.

This upcoming full moon is going to be quite a special one, as it will mark the beginning of the eclipse season. Being the first of three consecutive eclipses, this Strawberry Moon Lunar Eclipse brings some significant meaning to our lives, and some much needed clarity.

Lunar Eclipses are like heightened Full Moons that bring shift, change, and breakthroughs.

Like a regular full moon only stronger, the lunar eclipse brings your home, family, and intimate relationships into sharper focus. Opposing forces such as work versus home, or what you need versus what you want, create inner tension and external pressures. This can lead to conflict and crises that drain your energy. If you’ve been feeling that internal conflict arising lately, pay attention to where your focus tend to head towards.

The lunar qualities of emotions and instincts reach their peak at a lunar eclipse. So, use your increased emotional strength and intuition to overcome any challenges you might not have been ready to tackle in the past.  A lunar eclipse represents a resetting of your emotions, clearing away the emotional baggage of the previous six months, and prepares us for a new paradigm.

We may receive some news that something in our life is coming to an end. Or, we may find that we are called to release and let go of something that we truly thought was serving us.

We may have thought we were going one way, but often an Eclipse comes along to reveal a whole new path.

As this Eclipse falls in Sagittarius, we are likely going to find ourselves clearing thoughts, beliefs, and ideas in order to prepare for this new journey that is yet to unfold.

All the voices you carry within you deserve to be heard. Sometimes we work so hard to silence the voice of shame or guilt or anger, but there is also a power in learning to stop and listen to what it’s saying. If we constantly dismiss the harder or more abrasive thoughts and feelings when they arise, we never really get to understand them.

When we listen to ourselves; when we really take the time to go within and listen, we catch things we may have otherwise missed. We learn things about ourselves, and we open to a new truth.

It is not just our love and light that can teach us, but our pain, anger, jealousy, and resentment too.

This full moon lunar eclipse can help you to let go of a lot of what you’ve been unnecessarily carrying around for such a long time…if you’re willing to face the shadows. Just remember, there can’t be a shadow without a source of light from somewhere. Acknowledge your emotions, but don’t let them consume you.
