Supermoon Magic! The Full Wolf Moon Arrives On New Year’s Night To Bring The Brightest Moon Of 2018

Are you ready for this Supermoon? The biggest and brightest moon of 2018 happens on the very first night of the year!

What a way to start the new year, and leave the mess of 2017 behind! The month of January is going to be a powerful one indeed- especially with all of the moon magic happening.

Moon Giant tells us “the first Full Moon of the year will be on January 1st for North America and the 2nd for Europe and the UK. The second known as a Blue Moon will be on January 31st. Both are supermoons with the Moon being at it’s closest point to the earth making the Full Moon brighter and larger. It gets even better with a Total Lunar Eclipse visible in the western United States on January 31st.”  We will certainly be looking forward to that show.

The full Wolf Moon on January 1 falls in the sign of Cancer, and brings us positive news. This is an alignment that brings your manifestations to reality, and all of those things you have been working towards suddenly fall in your lap. Relationships that were blossoming will start to flourish, and ones that were breaking away will end with absolute closure in a peaceful way. This is a great Moon for social gatherings and family get-togethers.

Because this full moon falls under the sign of Cancer it should be a time of letting go of what drags you down and just have fun! Use your creativity. Remember your inner child. Discover your innocence and love. Find ways to express yourself during this full moon.

The Full Moon is the time of greatest power and the perfect night for a solitary meditation, or manifestation ritual as it’s a night where energy is in abundance. This Moon is a great time to take an inventory of your life and see where you are and where you need to be going on your personal path. Now that Mercury has left retrograde, during the full Wolf Moon, you might want to release all of that suppressed energy you have been holding onto.

According to The Old Farmer’s Almanac, Native American tribes named the moon the full wolf moon because of the wolves who would howl in hunger around the time of its rising. The moon has also been called the Old Moon and the Snow Moon.

One thing we know about the energy of the full moon, is that it always brings closure if we allow ourselves to release the things that we no longer need to hold onto. Move forward, and focus on what you have accomplished so far, in order to receive a brighter tomorrow.
