Using Google can be a great way to find new information and learn about things that expand your perspective, and your mind. But sometimes, access to an over-abundance of information can be a bad thing.
We made a list of the top 3 things you should definitely refrain from searching for on Google.
1. Your symptoms
To begin, let’s talk about your health issues and why you should never look them up. There are countless websites that “specialize” in offering medical advice, or cures for certain symptoms. Of course, the vast majority of those sites are not managed by medical professionals, or anyone who has even attended one CPR class.
Looking up what your symptoms mean on the internet will certainly not help you. In fact, you can expect the opposite. It will make you feel worried and panicked. And if you happen to try so ridiculous remedy and fall ill, then you’ve just made your problems worse. If you have any kind of health issues, don’t ask “Doctor Google.” Schedule a visit to a real doctor instead.
2. Bedbug infestations
You’ve probably heard about these little monsters, especially if you’ve ever read any kind of hotel reviews. Perhaps some of you very unfortunate souls have even experienced their harm on your own skin. But have you ever thought what bedbug infestations look like? If you want to continue sleeping at night, you won’t look it up. Seriously, don’t.
3. Cancer symptoms
This is the case where the less you know, the better you sleep. There are so many types of this disease, and most of them occur with symptoms that could be very common for many other harmless conditions. Most people experience such things as dizziness, weakness, nausea, etc, so you’ll probably mistake something else for cancer and start panicking. If you are ill, see a professional…really.
