Anxiety and depression are a daily struggle for a lot of people. Living with the worry and bombardment of thoughts running through your mind constantly can sometimes feels unmanageable. On top of everything, those who haven’t experienced the weight of these issues might not understand why you do the things you do, or “what the big deal is.”
If you haven’t felt anxiety or depression at some point in your life, then these drawings may not mean much to you as they do to to others. Personally, I can relate to most of these, and they are a good reminder to laugh at ourselves from time to time.
Gemma Correll is the artist behind these drawings, and she is also a writer, cartoonist, and illustrator who has won several awards for her work. I definitely recommend checking out her website; it is full of brilliant illustrations that represent a life the majority of us can relate to, and her blog is a humorous walk through the mind of a woman who loves her pug.
