It’s been said that a picture can say a thousand words- or maybe more. Looking at images and evaluating their meaning, makes you a story-teller. The great thing is, when YOU are the story-teller, you can interpret the meaning from anything you desire. Perhaps it’s from personal life experiences or emotions, hopes and dreams, or even about the art process itself.
The way you respond to an image can tell you a lot about yourself, including what your life purpose might be.
Art calls to us- it draws us nearer because it essentially IS us. It is about our collective and individual journeys in this vast and infinite universe. Chuck Klosterman once said, “Art and love are the same thing: It’s the process of seeing yourself in things that are not you.”
Different images and scenes can stir up countless emotions in the person who stares into them. Ranging from shock, to awe, to sadness, outrage, and even love. These emotions also can range in the level of intensity you experience them. You might experience an intense emotion only seconds after seeing an image, or it may take minutes, even hours for the true meaning comes to you.
Of course, the beauty of art, is that the meaning can vary from person to person. It is all about us, remember, and the way we see things says A LOT about who we are and where we are going.
Take this image test below to reveal what your true purpose is in life.
