These Sand Pools Are The Latest Trend In Backyard Bliss

These “sand pools” are making a huge splash, and this latest backyard trend is all about basking in the bliss.

These days, we’re spending a lot more time in our homes. The current state of the world has made our lives a little different than the “normal” we have grown accustomed to. Thankfully, there are always those few who create imaginative things when faced with challenging times. Because of them, the rest of us can enjoy life a little easier.

What better way to relax and embrace the warmth of the sun than by going to the beach and sitting by the cool water?

Well, for one, having the beach in your own backyard would be a great start!

A Spanish company called Piscinas de Arena NaturSand is offering just that. Well, kinda. Piscinas de Arena NaturSand specializes in “sand pools” — custom pools that are as close to real beaches as it gets. And if people already have a pool of their own, the company can simply convert it into something straight out of a Mediterranean paradise.

Piscinas de Arena NaturSand says that it can “provide an environment similar to that of a piece of natural beach” and judging by their product photos, that’s not an exaggeration.

And, if you’re not  in Spain, don’t worry! They will make these pools anywhere around the world.

The company has built more than 800 sand pools in over 14 different countries, including the US, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, Brazil, United Arab Emirates, and Morocco.

The cool thing about this, is that it is partly an illusion- the pool may look like it is in real white sand from the beach, but it is actually a special tan concrete that is made with sand. This makes it strong enough to hold the water, and it stays cooler than actual sand at a beach. Which, if you’ve been to Florida beaches in the summer, you know exactly how fast the sand can burn your feet.

Not only does the surface of these pools never get hot, it’s anti-slip when dry or wet.

Besides the fact that they are super nifty looking, these pools can be designed for any depth, and they don’t require ladders or uncomfortable and awkward steps. They have a soft ramp that gradually goes deeper down into the water as you descend the ramp — kind of like the real deal when you go to the beach.

People can also get a customized design to suit their land. In some cases, if the weather permits, such pools can be built in as little as 30 days.

I don’t know about you, but I would love to have one of these in my own backyard. Imagine the beach parties you could have at home!
