What if you could get paid to do something as simple and enjoyable as cuddle cats? Well, good news, Ireland needs you.
Do you like cats? Do you wish that cuddling cats was your job? Do you hate that your job involves something to do with a computer and a desk and meetings and not nearly enough to do with paws, tails and fluffy little ears?
If you’ve answered yes to all of these questions, you are officially qualified to leave your job, hop on the first train to Ireland and start your career as a professional cat cuddler.
The Just Cats Veterinary Clinic and Cattery in Dublin, Ireland, recently posted a position that is the dream job for a feline fanatic. Open your arms, quit your current job and prepare to become a professional cat cuddler.
The office, which is the only veterinary clinic just for cats in Dublin, recently posted a plea for a full-time cat cuddler. Before you apply and move to Ireland, take a look at these questions from the clinic.
Are you a crazy cat person and love cats?
Does cattitude come naturally to you?
Have you counted kittens before you go asleep?
Do you feed the stray cats in your locality?
Does petting cats make you feel warm and fuzzy?
If you answered yes to all these questions, you are ready to move on. Along with a deep love for kitties and their emotional welfare, the clinic asks that prospective cuddlers are comfortable petting cats for long periods of time, know how to speak softly and sweetly and are prepared to calm skittish kitties.
“An ability to understand different types of purring is a distinct added advantage in helping you secure this position with us,” the clinic adds in its online job post.
It’s also important to know that while the clinic is an “equal opportunities employer,” it is definitely a place for cat people.
“We do discriminate against dogs attending our veterinary clinic as patients,” the office warns.
If you check all these boxes, and have the “essential” Veterinary Council of Ireland recognized qualification, you can apply by emailing your cover letter and CV to [email protected]
Best of luck with your future cat cuddling endeavors!
