Your Astrology Forecast For The Week of January 1st Delivers Electricity and Excitement

Happy New Year! As we step into our new journey around the Sun we are welcomed with a bright, beautiful full Moon at 11 degrees Cancer to begin the year. Full Moons are often regarded as ominous and while they do frequently deliver on that promise this particular Moon probably carries a more emotional tone than usual. Cancer is a water sign and therefore the energy is highly intuitive and sensitive. As many of us wax nostalgic for the past and those who have left us, we are also looking at a period of great uncertainty and that, in and of itself, may tempt us towards sentimentality.

The one constant is, we must move forward. We cannot go back to another time or place and expect life to be as it once was. This impossible premise seems to be a popular talking point that really holds little value or any inkling of reality. We are encroaching on a rather tempestuous period in our nation’s history and one that will undoubtedly leave us wondering how we got here. Major outer planets are moving into Capricorn over the next several years and the weight of our collective responsibility will be there for us to face.

Elsewhere, Uranus stations direct mid-week. It’s been roughly six months since Uranus stationed retrograde. Uranus delivers electricity, excitement, revolution, and innovation. Having been in Aries since 2008, Uranus has held up to its promise as new devices and technologies flood our senses in the most dynamic manner. As a result we can expect to see action in the most surprising places with revolutionary results.

This is the role of Uranus. All of these events and products are truly game-changing and innovative. Later this year Uranus will finally leave Aries and enter into Taurus where we are likely to see many of the foundational bedrock institutions come under duress as we turn toward a new “us” over the coming years. We will not be going backwards, rather we will be working towards trying to repair that which we have neglected. Responsibility will be first and foremost in our sights as we are pushed to right that which has been wrong for far too long.

ARIES (March 21- April 19)

Train your focus on your occupation. Whether you realize it or not you are in for a shift to a whole new way of earning a living. You have perhaps felt this way for some time, but now the time has come to actively dive in and seek out that which you are uniquely qualified to pursue.

TAURUS (April 20 -May 20)

Education and travel may be your priorities during the week as you mull over ways to improve your situation. Any investment in either of those areas is likely to prompt a shift in your trajectory forward. This may happen whether you plan it or not, so try and approach this proactively rather than wait for it to occur.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21)

Your time this week may be consumed trying to wrestle with large organizations. Think of large entities such as government, insurance, banks and the like. Of course you could also be a cog in a large organizational wheel and your influence there could be quite profound. How do you wield that influence? What might be expected? Act accordingly.

CANCER (June 22-July 22)

Expect to have conversations with your significant partner this week. Heavy topics may weigh on you but the value in speaking about them may shift your joint attitude in a positive direction and allow you to reframe your commitments towards each other. A creative surge may be the perfect antidote to complex conversations.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

The week ahead may provide you with a opportunity to seriously consider your health regimen. Changes made now may have a significant long-term impact and are well worth pursuing. Habits require roughly three weeks to establish and you may be eternally grateful for the insights provided to change and correct your health. Get moving.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Words are of the utmost importance now so pick them carefully. You may be motivated to find a unique voice and that may manifest as the written word. You may be in a creative dilemma that requires depth to resolve. The creative process may be a complex one that requires experimentation to recognize. Take the time to find it.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Your focus may be directed to your primary residence this week. You might be considering an alteration to your domicile. Your motivation may be a windfall of sorts that offers a new path forward and opens up a bevy of possibilities. Changes made now may extend far into the future so pick and choose carefully.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov 21)

You may find yourself pulled into an in-depth investigation of some weight. Secrecy is one of your key attributes and you may find that your skill set fits the occasion perfectly. You may be motivated to express yourself in this regard and find that others call upon your tenacity to resolve a topic that may involve a sibling.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Financial considerations may prevail for you this week and for the foreseeable future. You may find that you are in a precarious moment with regard to income and how you allocate it. You may find that decisions made now will linger long into the future, so your chore might be to get some outside advice.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
A deep-seated change is coursing through your life this week and rolling on into the next few years. You have choices to make and as long as you are responsible you might see great progress. If, however, you ignore the shifts you could easily be pulled down by them and the struggle to recoup could become much harder.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Decisions, decisions. You are likely facing choices about whether to stay or to go. This is a week of powerful transitions and will likely continue for some time going forward. Career and how you spend your time on a daily basis may be the top priority at this juncture. Be careful not to fall to a lofty unrealistic pitch.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

As you set your sights on the new year you may be reevaluating your business associates. While collaborators can bring a much-desired diversity to your projects, be aware of a false narrative about what they can realistically deliver. You might see this as an opportune time to reconsider with whom you relate on joint efforts.
