An “aura” is a luminous glow that surrounds a person’s body like a halo. Your aura is the natural energy field that radiates from your physical form. We cannot see an aura with the naked eye, which has led to disbelief by many of those in the scientific community. Recently, the work of a few scientists at the Institute of HeartMath has shed some astounding light on auras and how they affect our bodies and the people around us.
Heart and brain interaction. Scientists say that when a person is feeling positive emotions (gratitude, love, appreciation), our heart beats out a message, a large electromagnetic message. These emotional magnetic codes directly impact those around us. Researchers say that, “We are fundamentally and deeply connected with each other and the planet itself, and what we do individually really does count and matters.”
Your aura is an extension of your internalized self. Normally, your aura extends about three feet away from your physical form. When you are going through something emotional or traumatic, it can expand up to 20 feet. When this happens, your aura is bound to intermingle with other peoples auras. When your auric field passes someone, your auras can connect and trade energy. This affects both you and them
Your emotions rub off on people. And you get some of theirs as well. Your energies intertwine and join one another. When you are overwhelmed and feeling anxious or downtrodden, your energy can completely overtake another persons energy.
You can hide your feelings, but you cannot hide your aura. You should put your best foot forward and try to be grateful for what you. Step outside and smile. Look towards the sky. Live in the moment and realize how truly blessed you are. Your consciousness directly influences the world around you. Be good, do good and feel good.
Everything boils down to energy. Plants, trees and even gemstones all exhibit an aura. Your aura shows the “real you,” no matter how hard you try to hide it. Your aura will reflect whatever you are experiencing. Empaths, people who are affected by other people’s energies, have the innate ability to perceive and feel other people’s emotions. We all have this ability, but some people are more in tune to it than others. An empath differs from a “normal” person because they take on everyone’s energies. The good, the bad and the ugly are all absorbed. A skilled empath can acknowledge these feelings and discharge the negative ones.
Fear and your aura. Our auras are often challenged by fear. Fear of societal expectations and ego are oftentimes reflected in our auras in tints of red, orange or yellow. If you remove fear from the equation, you will see a change in your aura’s colors. You aura is always fluctuating due to internal and external stressors and it takes a lot of inner work to achieve higher levels of auric planes of peace. It all begins within.
You can boost your immune system by conjuring up positive emotions. In turn, negative emotions can create chaos in your nervous system. The bottom line is that feelings of love and compassion have a tremendous impact on us and the people we surround ourselves with.
Aura, electron cloud, same thing. Scientists can measure the electromagnetic fields around our bodies using a Gas Discharge Visualization (GDV) software program and highlights potential health abnormalities in patients, according to research from the Institute of HeartMath. This glow from the “cloud” is invisible to the human eye, but can be captured by an optical camera attached to the GDV. This means science is giving at least some validity to the presence of auras around us.
An approved science. After scientists get to see the energy field images, they analyze the physiological level of human functionality. While this testing is not prevalent in the U.S., it has been approved by the Russian Ministry of Health upon recommendation of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Eastern metaphysicians takes aura and “chakra” energy seriously; they claim that there are several chakras that are integrated with physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
As more experiments are being conducted, we are finding out even more astonishing results. Your aura can apparently change after death, according to Russian professor Konstantin Korotkov. He found that upon death, the human aura continues to change for approximately 72 hours afterwards. Considering that decomposing flesh nourishes the Earth, does our decomposing metaphysical energy do the same? Are these energies feeding the Earth?
Energy healing. Just like our arteries and other internal systems, our auras can become blocked, clogged and torn. When this happens, we require energy healing. Mary Kurus, an energy worker, described an energy healing as a process that “will help to correct energetic imbalances, blockages, distortions, holes and tears in your energy field. It will help to reconnect the magnetic systems in your auras, chakras, meridian system, and other energy systems in you and around you in your extended energy field.”
What are potential aura issues? There are many issues that can affect the functionality of our auras which could lead to possible health problems. Blockages can occur when emotions that have not been felt or released harbor themselves internally, when we think negative thoughts about others, when someone casts a negative spell upon us and when past life memories and experiences plague us.
Underactive and overactive energies can also cause problems. Kurus explains that “underactive chakras can translate into fatigue, lethargy, weight problems, just a slow attitude towards life or a lack of zest for living. Overactive chakras create other types of problems including hyperactivity, panic attacks, emotional imbalances, and many types of health issues in the physical body.”
The effectiveness of distant energy healing. Distant energy healing, according to healer Anna Merkaba, describes a healing session that takes place far away from the person being healed. She says it is a much more effective method of energy healing than those that involve being near the subject. The influence of the healer runs much deeper since there are no energetic constraints. “We don’t need to be on the phone. We don’t need to meet in person. This is done through the distance. The only thing I need from you is your photo. That is all. The rest is taken care of for you,” she says.
Potential effects of distance healing. People who undergo distance healing report feeling peaceful, an increased amount of energy, feeling more in touch with who they are, a spike in creativity and a new zest for life.
